Love-Letters Between a Nobleman and His Sister (Penguin Classics)
Published in Paperback by Penguin USA (Paper) (June, 1996)
Authors: Aphra Behn and Janet Todd
Average review score:

sexuality and desire
Aphra Behn's Love Letters Between a Nobleman and His Sister reveals the progress of the consciousness of the once innocent and naive Sylvia, who, after being seduced into an affair with her brother-in-law, Philander, learns of her own sexuality and desires.

Behn's novel is not only an exploration of the sexual politics of the socety in which she lived in, but also, an examination of the notions of gender and identity. The exchange of love letters between Sylvia and Philander allows readers to sense the intimacy between the two couple, but most importanly, it allows readers to follow the transformantion of Sylvia's identity from lady to whore. Behn conveys the double standard that exists in her society, and perhaps our society as well. Philander, after his lover affair and scandal is still a lord, but unfortunately for Sylvia, once 'undone' is no longer a lady.

This book was useful in helping me understand the sexual politics of seventeenth-century English society.

Mammoth
Published in Hardcover by Somerville House, USA (October, 1998)
Authors: Barbara Hehner and Todd Zalewski
Average review score:

A Wonderful Combination
I bought this booklet/mammoth-bones model combination for my daughter in the midst of her dinosaur craze. While mammoths are ice age animals, my daughter was fascinated by reading about a prehistoric animal that was around with humans (Neanderthals). But, she found having a model of the bones in her room to be even more interesting and exciting! The model was easy for us to assemble and is still proudly on display. Now her youner brother enjoys it and the book too.

The Miracle on 34th Street
Published in Paperback by Scholastic (December, 1994)
Author: Todd Strasser
Average review score:

I think it was a very good book to read for plesure.
I THINK THAT IT WAS A VERY NICELY WRITTEN BOOK. If I wanted i could of just went and rented the movie if I wanted to. Even though I have read and watched Micale on 34th Street I still think it is a good book to read and many children from thages 9-12 should read this book. When they do read this book they should come back and leave a review on this book like I have done to express my feelings toward the book.

Morphosis/Diamond Ranch High School: Source Books in Architecture (Source Books in Architecture)
Published in Paperback by The Monacelli Press (17 May, 2001)
Authors: Thom Mayne, Todd Gannon, and Jeffrey Kipnis
Average review score:

Great Resource for Morphosis Admirers
As an architect, I have followed Thom Mayne's work for a long period of time. I have collected most of his books and have always admired their production quality and most importantly, the depth of the work produced by this firm. They have been and will remain at the forefront of the architectural profession. Despite reading and studying Mayne's work and philosophies in other books, I have always been left unsatisfied, not knowing exactly how the firm works and how a project comes together within their office. The interview with Jeffery Kipnis and Todd Gannon at the front of the book enters into this territory, although I would have liked it to be much longer. The rest of the book is much like other Morphosis' books; full of beautiful sketches, computer renderings and drawings. Images walk the reader from schematic design through completion.

The Murder of Albert Einstein
Published in Hardcover by Farrar Straus & Giroux (September, 1992)
Author: Todd Gitlin
Average review score:

Believable charactors that kept me intersted.
I have never been a journalist or worked for an underground rag. But, I found the charactors and the story telling believable and credible. The charactor, Margo, was well written and there were times I felt her excitment and frustrations. She really got my attention. While there were a few places in the book that seemed to take an effort to get through, the story and charactors kept my interest and there were times I could not put this book down. The ending, while I had all the clues, did catch me off guard.

Funny head scratcher
Very funny, the versus match the lives of my own children as well as many of my own experiences growing up. Very much along the lines of Shell Silverstien. Highly recommended for all ages not just children.

Novice Eventing With Mark Todd
Published in Hardcover by Trafalgar Square (September, 1996)
Authors: Mark Todd and Genevieve Murphy
Average review score:

An informative book aimed at less experienced riders
This is a very good read and is handy as a reference for problems that may arise. It is more appropriate for less experienced eventing riders, perhaps those just getting started. More seasoned competitors will find Mark Todds Cross Country Handbook more useful. It is well illustrated and has a very good, helpful section on choosing a horse.
